Central Highlands Regional Council approves Lilyvale Solar Farm development application

May 8, 2018

On 9 September 2015, the Central Highlands Regional Council approved the Lilyvale Solar Farm development application.

The Council has issued its Decision Notice approving the “Material Change of Use” development approval, along with appropriate conditions.

This important decision allows FRV to continue with the development of the project, including obtaining a grid connection agreement and securing an contract for the sale of the electricity. Once all of these things are in place a final investment decision can be made.

FRV is looking forward to working closely with the local community as the development of the project continues.

Financial close of the Lilyvale Solar Farm was achieved during September 2017 with operations expected to commence in 2018. The project will benefit from a PPA with Ergon Energy, the QLD-government owned retailer, part of the Energy Queensland group, who will purchase 100% of the electricity generated by the project.
